TTC launches cable TV in three new cities

Russian service provider TransTeleCom (TTC) has launched cable TV services in the cities of Barnaul in the Altai region in southern Siberia, Rybinsk in central European Russia, and Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic in northern European Russia.

TTC is offering a package of 60 channels, including a number of local services, in the three cities. The company plans to offer cable services in 25 major cities across Russia by the end of this year. TTC plans to upgrade its existing analogue offering via a mix of DVB-C and IPTV technology, and expand its offering to 200 channels, including HD services.
