Yahoo CEO forced to step down

Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson has left the company following a board meeting held yesterday morning.

The former PayPal exec stepped down following allegations that he had faked a computer science degree on his CV.

Thompson had been at the internet company for less than six months and has been replaced on an interim basis by ex News Corp man Ross Levinsohn.
