SES’s HD Plus reaches 2.6 million households.

SES’s German HD platform HD Plus reached more than 2.6 million households at the end of March, with over half a million homes paying the annual service fee.

Since SES launched the service at the end of 2009, it has sold nearly three million HD Plus receivers. Users get free access to the bouquet of HD channels for a 12-month trial period. Currently, 2.1 million household are in the trial period, with 513,207 paying for the service, compared with 404,123 a year earlier.
