Zappware deploys OTT platform for SBB, Telemach

Interactive TV technology company Zappware has deployed its managed over-the-top TV platform for SBB and Telemach in Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

OTT services have been launched under the D3 Go brand by Serbia’s SBB and Telemach in Slovenia and Bosnia. The solution will allow the operators to deliver linear TV services and is currently available to SBB and Telemach customers.

Zappware developed the system using its Twin TV product, which delivers digital TV on a range of second-screen de ices, driven by Zappware’s iView application delivery platform. The deployment will deliver over 100 channels to PCs, Macs, iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches, and also uses technology from Cisco, Verimatrix, NXP Software, Anevia and Envivio.

“Zappware’s OTT solution will enable us to offer our customers the ability to watch their favorite content wherever they want,” said Victoriya Boklag, deputy CEO of SBB. “Moreover, this unified offering that combines traditional delivery over our managed network with OTT gives us now tremendous possibilities to provide our services to communities outside our footprint across different types of networks and devices.”

As reported by DTVE, Telekom Austria-owned Croatian cable operator B.net is also using Zappware to deliver OTT services in Croatia.
