UPC Cablecom to acquire Gais network

Swiss cable operator UPC Cablecom is set to acquire the cable network operated by the municipality of Gais.

The electorate in Gais voted in favour of the sale on March 11. The network was set up in 1972 and now offers analogue and digital services, including HD channels, video-on-demand and up to 100Mbps broadband.
