Ferguson tipped for BSkyB role


The chairman of private equity group SVG capital has stepped down amid speculation that he could fill the chairman role at BSkyB should James Murdoch be unseated.

Nick Ferguson, who is also deputy chairman of BSkyB, has announced he will leave SVG at the end of the year. Various reports suggest that he is in pole position to replace Murdoch should investor pressure force him from his chairman role.
