Subscriber additions and bundling boost Multimedia Polska revenues
Multimedia Polska added 100,000 TV subscribers to its customer base last year, ending December with a total of 840,000. That figure included 74,900 premium channel customers, 11,800 IPTV subscribers and 183,000 digital TV customers.
The Polish cable operator also increased its broadband and telephony subscriber numbers, by 37,000 to 400,000 and by 23,000 to 273,000 respectively. RGUs numbered 1.513 million, up from 1.353 million at the end of 2010. The number of services per subscriber increased to 2.09 from 2.03 the previous quarter, and the operator reported more than 106,000 triple-play customers at year-end.
The operator said bundling products had helped it increase ARPU to PLN71.90 (€17.43), compared to PLN68.20 at the end of 2010.
Subscriber additions and increased bundling helped Multimedia Polska report fourth quarter revenues of PLN163 million, up 4% year-on-year. TV services accounted for 47.5% of total revenues, with internet and voice services accounting for 27.8% and 21% respectively.
Revenue from digital TV and IPTV services increased by 61% to PLN18 million.
