Orange pay TV customer base up 25%

Orange ended 2011 with over five million TV customers.

The telco, which offers IPTV and satellite services in France and Poland had a total TV subscriber base of 5.12 million at the end of September, an increase of 24.8% year-on-year.

In France, Orange had 4.37 million TV subscribers, up 25%.  Poland was home to 636,000 TV customers, up 17%.

The company ended 2011 with a total of 226.3 million customers worldwide, up 8%. It posted full year revenues of €45 billion, of which €22.5 billion were generated from its French operations.
