MTV rebrands UK HD offering

Viacom is launching its core MTV channel in high definition in the UK. MTV will be complemented by MTV HD on the Sky platform from this week, allowing viewers to see Geordie Shore, Teen Mom and other MTV shows in high definition.

Viacom will rebrand its current UK HD service, MTVNHD, as MTV Live a channel brand already carried in 30 countries. MTV Live will have concerts, music videos, award shows and archive programming in HD.
