MobiTV preps European expansion


US-based mobile TV technology company MobiTV has hired a general manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa and says it is committed to expanding its services in the region.

Paul Burmester becomes general manager and senior vice-president, EMEA for MobiTV, which said he will use his experience at various US cellcos to work up an EMEA-focused expansion plan.

“Paul brings experience in, and understanding of, the European technology industry, as well as relationships with top-tier mobile operators,” said MobiTV CEO Charlie Nooney. “We’re confident that he will continue to build the strong commercial relationships necessary for MobiTV to pursue expansion in the international market.”
