Swisscom to wholesale IPTV platform in Germany

Swisscom is planning to offer its IPTV service in neighbouring Germany on a wholesale basis.

The Swiss telco will offer its platform to German municipal utilities that provide internet services and to local cable operators, according to IPTV product manager Klaus Pilz.

Pilz told the Infosat website that Swisscom would target small ISPs that until now did not have a TV service as part of their portfolio.
