Teo grows TV base
Lithuanian telco Teo grew its TV subscriber base by 15.2% in the course of 2011, ending the year with 151,000 customers, including 80,000 IPTV customers and 71,000 DVB-T customers.
Teo grew its TV base by 4,100 in December. The company’s general manager Arūnas Šikšta said that, with digital switchover in Lithuania set to take place in October, Teo was focusing on the development of interactive TV services to attract subscribers.
The company had a 46% share of all digital TV users and a 23% share of pay TV subscribers in Lithuania at the end of September 2011.
Teo had 338,000 broadband customers at the end of the year, up by 20,900 on 2010, of which 140,000 were fibre subscribers. In 2010, Teo Group’s overall revenue amounted to LTL773 million (€224 million), and net profit amounted to LTL163 million. EBITDA for the year 2010 was LTL310 million.
