SABC appoints new CEO

The SABC has named Lulama Mokhobo as its new CEO. Mokhobo becomes the South African public broadcaster’s eighth chief since 2005 and has been appointed for a five-year term.

She replaces Robin Nicholson who was interim boss. Mokhobo was previously SABC’s executive for public broadcasting with responsibility for the SABC1 and SABC2 TV channels and 14 radio stations.
