Yahoo! adds Sony Bravia integration, IntoNow on TV

Yahoo! has added Sony Bravia TVs to the list of devices that include access to its TV platform.

Yahoo! TV is already available on a range of TVs from manufacturers including Samsung and Toshiba, and the company says that over eight million Yahoo!-enabled TVs have been purchased to date.

Yahoo! has is also integrating content recognition application IntoNow, which it acquired last year, into the connected TV platform. The app allows users to identify audio tracks and video programmes via a content-recognition server. IntoNow will be integrated into the TV platform as SoundPrint, allowing viewers to tag shows and initiate conversations with other users of the app.
