Two new channels for Azerbaijan


Azerbaijan is to launch two new regional television channels as the country looks to expand its broadcasting operations.

The National Broadcasting Council has approved two new channels in Shirvan and the Baku region.

National Broadcasting Council chairman Nushiravan Maharramli said that the country would continue to endeavour to develop regional channels, despite economic difficulties including a weak advertising market.
