Conax names CEO

Telenor-owned conditional access specialist Conax has named Morten Solbakken as its new CEO.

Solbakken, formerly chief operating officer at Telenor Broadcast Holding had been acting CEO since Berit Svendsen stepped up from CEO of Conax to become executive vice-president and CEO of Telenor Norway in September.

“Morten Solbakken knows the company well, as former board member and chairman of our encryption company and responsible for B2B units in Telenor Broadcast Holding. I am very pleased that he can continue permanently in the CEO-position in Conax. Morten’s experience and background suits the possession well,” said Patrik Hofbauer, CEO, Telenor Broadcast.
