Chellomedia preps premium series channel

Chellomedia will reportedly roll out Film1 Series in the Netherlands, a new premium channel programmed with high-end scripted content.

The service will launch in mid-January and launch series include Breaking Bad, Necessary Roughness and Once Upon a Time. The new channel, which does not officially have distribution partners yet, will be in direct competition with the anticipated premium channel that HBO and MSO Ziggo are expected to launch next year.
