CSA rejects Paris Première and LCI requests to go FTA
French media regulator the CSA has rejected requests by M6-owned digital channel Paris Première and TF1-owned news and information channel LCI to move to the free-to-air part of the country’s digital-terrestrial platform.
M6 president Nicolas de Tavernost told Les Echos newspaper that the group considered itself to have been unfairly treated.
The rejection of LCI’s request had been widely anticipated. The channel recently renewed its distribution deal with pay TV service CanalSat and signed new deals with IPTV providers.
