Imagenio channels launch on Xbox


Users of the Xbox 360 console in Spain can now access twelve channels from the Movistar Imagenio IPTV service.

Consumers with the Kinect add-on can control the channels in question with voice and gesture commands and the new service was demonstrated at Telefónica’s flagship store in Madrid yesterday by María Garaña, president of Microsoft Ibérica and Luis Miguel, president of Telefónica España Gilpérez.

“Movistar Imagenio is a great partner for us in terms of revolutionizing home entertainment, and we hope to go far down this route over a long time,” said Garaña.

The twelve channels available on the service are: GolTelevisión; Eurosport; Eurosport 2; Xtreme Sports; ESPN; Iberalia; Marca TV; Teledeporte; La 1 de RTVE; Canal 24h de RTVE; MTV España; and Canal Promocional.
