OTE launches new low-cost satellite offering
Greek telco OTE has launched the new satellite version of its Conn-x TV offering with a starting price of €14.90 for OTE customers, lower than that of competitive services.
The satellite version of the service, now renamed OTE TV, broadcasts from Eutelsat’s Eurobird 9A satellite and includes over 40 channels, including eight HD channels. OTE TV Via Satellite offers two packages – a Family pack and a Full pack – with the former starting at €14.90 and the latter at €19.90. The Family pack includies free-to-air channels and a range of international entertainment, sports, documentary, kids, lifestyle, music and news channels. The Full pack includes, on top of these, OTE’s own sports channels OTE Sport 1, 2 and 3 and the new OTE Sport HD channel.
OTE is deploying a hybrid satellite/digital-terrestrial decoder, allowing viewers to access DTT channels where these are available.
The Conn-x IPTV service, now called OTE TV via Conn-x, will include the same packs as the satellite offering, with the addition of video-on-demand.
