TTNet places AirTies order for set-tops and modems

Set-top vendor AirTies, has received an order for 20,000 Air 7120 boxes and 13,000 WAV-275 modems from Turkish Telecom subsidiary TTNet. 

The latest order follows the launch of TTNet’s Tivibù Home service in the last quarter of 2010, offering IPTV services to the company’s six million ADSL customers in 81 Turkish cities.

The Air 7120 uses flash memory to let viewers pause and rewind live broadcasts. The WAV-275’s VoIP support provides phone calls over the internet. The Air 7120 and the WAV-275 can be connected with a cable or connected wirelessly using the award winning Air 4420 wireless access point.
