Polsat adds multiroom and external hard drive option

Cyfrowy Polsat has launched a multiroom service and an external hard drive to turn set-tops into DVRs.

The Polish DTH operator is offering a second SD recorder for PLN29 (€6.60) per month, enabling the viewing of different channels in two rooms. Subscribers are able to view the premium package on the second box at no extra cost, while the Family HD package plus two additional packages will cost between PLN5 (€1.14) and PLN10.

Polsat has also begun offering a 320GB USB hard drive to its customers which turns set-tops into DVRs. Produced by its in-house technology unit, the device is compatible with the HD5000 decoder and will work with future boxes. Subscribers can get one for the promotional price of PLN1.
