L’Equipe TV looking to go free-to-air

Following TF1’s request for information channel LCI to be moved to free-to-air on France’s digital-terrestrial platform, L’Equipe TV’s owner wants to do the same for the sports channel.

L’Equipe director-general François Morinière, interviewed on the Le.Buzz.Media web show from Orange and Le Figaro, said that he believed sport could be an indispensable addition to the free TV offering on DTT, given that 98% of sports programming today was available on pay services.
