UPC Austria to offer Sky packages

UPC Austria customers in the cities of Vienna, Graz and Klagenfurt will be able to receive Sky Deutschland’s premium services after the two operators struck a distribution agreement.

From October 3, UPC will begin offering the Sky Film, Sky Sport and Sky Fußball Bundeslig packages along with various other premium channels from Sky to its Digital TV Plus customers. The cable operator will charge an introductory fee of €16.90 per month for the complete line-up of 24 Sky channels for three months, before increasing the price to €26.90.

Sky already offers a DTH service in Austria, Sky Österreich, and with this new agreement will reach 95% of all Swiss TV homes.
