KidsCo hires marketing chief
International children’s channel KidsCo has hired former BabyTV executive Lisa Wakefield to head up marketing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The broadcaster, which is backed by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Entertainment and Corus, has appointed Wakefield as marketing manager, EMEA and she will work across consumer and affiliate marketing across the region. She joins from Fox International’s BabyTV, where she was sales and marketing manager, and she has also previously worked at Nickelodeon and MTV. Paul Robinson, CEO, KidsCo, said: “As KidsCo continues to expand and consolidate its presence across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Lisa’s expertise and background in children’s television will add a new and creative approach to our marketing strategy.
