MultiChoice DTT service launches in Zambia and Uganda

African digital-terrestrial pay TV service provider GOtv has launched in Lusaka, Zambia and Kampala and Entebbe in Uganda.

MultiChoice-owned GOtv is offering a range of pay and free-to-air channels covering news, kids, documentaries, series, sports and movies using the DVB-T2 technology system, which allows for about 20 standard channels per frequency. Services are delivered via satellite to each country in which the platform is to be active, with a different channel line-up delivered to each territory.
