Travel Channel HD launches in Poland

Travel Channel HD is launching in Poland on the Vectra cable platform.

The channel will be available from September 1 as part of Vectra’s Platinum package, airing 24 hours a day in Polish. The HD channel is scheduled separately from the standard-definition version, although Travel Channel’s flagship programmes are present on the HD version. Shows include destination guide Essential, Inside Luxury Travel and local Polish production Travel 2011. The channel will also air a five-part documentary series, A Week In Poland, from November.

“The interest of our viewers in HD quality programming remains high. Therefore, we welcome the opportunity to present a new HD channel to them. Especially one that is as accomplished and recognized as Travel Channel, skilfully combining entertainment with comprehensive information to inspire travel,” said Vectra’s programme manager Margaret Wojtaszko.
