Initial bids for Hulu due tomorrow
Initial bids for US online TV site Hulu are due tomorrow, with Amazon, DirecTV, Google and Yahoo! widely believed to in the running.
Yahoo! has been tipped as a possible front runner by US-based Business Insider. However, estimates of the size of bids varies widely from US$500 million (€350 million) up to US$2 billion, depending on the range of TV shows that Hulu’s content suppliers – Disney, News Corp and Comcast – would be willing to license, the length of time they would be available and the possible length of the licensing agreement.
